Blain Supply Warehouse #3 - Addition & Renovation
Design Structures is pleased to announce that they have begun construction of the 122,000 square foot warehouse addition and renovation for Blain Supply, Inc located in Janesville, WI. Blain Supply is a specialty discount retailer of hunting and fishing equipment, tools, hardwares, automotive items, apparel, hardware, lawn and garden supplies, paint, sporting goods and appliances.
Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum  Design Structures recently completed phase II of the Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum (WAAAM) in Hood River, OR which opened to the public September 7, 2007. Terry Brandt, Museum President and Founder, has been collecting antique aircraft and memorabilia for the past 50 years. The museum's 99,050 square feet of steel buildings house Brandt's extensive collection. WAAAM took full advantage of Design Structures' design-build process, as we assisted them from conceptualizing ideas and setting a schedule all the way through ground-breaking and construction of multiple Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings.
Design Structures Begins Construction on Innovative Composite Engineering
Design Structures is pleased to announce that Innovative Composite Engineering has broken ground on their new 63,250 square foot Pre-Engineered Steel Building located in White Salmon, Washington. Innovative Composite Engineering (ICE) is an industry leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of carbon fiber tubing and hollow shapes. The scheduled completion date of the project is spring of 2010.

Design Structures has been awarded the 2010 Greater Madison Commercial Design Award for Best New Development - Office or Retail for Strand Associates’ headquarters expansion located in Madison, WI. The 32,000 square foot addition included many sustainable design features including a green roof, recycled material in the terrazzo flooring, and a winter garden gathering place near the main entrance.
